Bajaj’s CNG bike sputters amid high costs and weak demand
26-05-2025
Nikhil Dhaka, Vice-president, Primus Partners, highlights that even riding 100 km daily, which is rare for most, only results in monthly savings of around Rs 1,000, making the effort hardly worthwhile. He mentions that CNG cars can save over Rs 3,500 per month in regions like Uttarakhand. Moreover, the Freedom’s limited 202 km CNG range and long refueling waits compare unfavorably with petrol bikes like the Pulsar N125 and cost-effective electric options like the Chetak.
