Electric bus makers gear up for Delhi’s full fleet electrification
15-04-2025
Nikhil Dhaka, Vice President, Primus Partners, highlighted that Delhi’s proposed electric vehicle policy could significantly benefit leading electric bus manufacturers, as the city plans to grow its fleet from 8,000 to 11,000 over the next five years and fully electrify public transport by 2027. Delhi already accounts for a large share of sales for companies like Tata Motors, PMI Electro Mobility, and JBM Auto. Despite a national dip in electric bus sales, Delhi made up nearly a third of the market last year.
